This started a couple of days ago... YouTube started warning us that on July 15 they will automatically replace the "old designs" on all YouTube accounts with the new Beta design...
Let's try to be as objective as possible... I know they want to improve the current design and that the new one is faster... I can see why they are doing this too... there's a lot of YouTube home pages with horrible backgrounds and horrible transparencies that practically won't let you read anything... I can't stand those pages but that's the whole point of "broadcasting yourself".
The new Beta design lacks personality and it's sort of claustrophobic... the comments window is too small! basically they want to sacrifice personality over a little order.
What I really hate about this decision YouTube is making for us is the fact that after lots and lots of people have requested a choice to keep the old designs, they still won't listen to us... they even disabled the comments on their blog... what a bunch of FUCKERS!
I'm not afraid of a little design change like this one... all I want is my voice to be heard and not be forced by FailTube... eventually, if the beta design is improved, I might consider upgrading my account... but it should be my fucking choice!
